Does anyone have any recommendations for removing a stray goat from my yard?

I believe he belongs to the same person whose horse is currently out there as well. He never answers his cell phone (the neighbor, not the horse or goat). I can lead the horse home but is the goat dangerous to man or beast?

UPDATE: After being chased around the yard by the lovely female goat (with big assed horns), she took off for greener pastures. I'm guessing she has a loving home somewhere around here, probably some FFA student. Horse is still happily grazing. Thank you all so much for your insights! This is the greatest question in the history of E.P. questions!!

By the way: birria (mexican dish with goat meat) is the best.

If not into goat slaughter, simply call animal control to move him, if you are too scared. Typically they are not dangerous. Fear not.

Make a trail of food into your neighbors space.

lmao...no goats are not dangerous. They tend to be skittish, but are not usually scared off for long. Do you have a dog?? If it's a big dog stake him out or something. Otherwise, nag the **** out of your neighbor to keep his animals on his property. Call the cops and make a report.

I have a good goat meat fajita recipe. Seriously, they're no more dangerous than any other animal their size. They tend to be skittish, and should be easy to chase off, but they're crafty and persistent, and will be back if you can't get the owner to deal with the issue.

goats are known to eat anything, get some empty or better yet, 1/2 full beer cans, that way the goat will either get drunk and not care where it's going or it will get full on aluminum and take a nap and you can move it....better even than that, keep the goat for a lawn mower, I hear they're really great at keeping the grass cut! lol

I apologize if you were serious, the beer really will work, but those goats get heavy, when they're passed out.

If you can't get the neighbor and it's becoming a problem, you call animal control or you local humane society.

Goats might hit you with their heads or try to nibble your fingers, but unless they have horns (two of the three my family own do not have horns, and the other is very friendly) they're not particularly dangerous that I've seen. Just offer it some food and lead it home. Goats are adorable!

This is a hilarious question!

I would keep the goat. Possession is 9/10ths of the law. Then I'd make goat cheese. Yum!

If you can't catch the goat, let him { her} Nibble a bit..free lawn mower between the horse and goat. Free poop to feed the grass. call humane society when the animals have done their job. The Owner obviously isn't concerned about them.Charge the owner babysitting fees! TOO funny.
