always speaking positive words and no negative? Do you believe it brings good things into your life. Do you believe words have power? Is your belief based on biblical wisdom, new age wisdom, life experience???
I believe that speaking positively in your life gives you the power to act on it and therefore do positive things and react positively. Negative thinking only feeds upon itself and generates energy that causes you to do and speak accordingly. I know - ask God.
I try to be mostly positive but still balanced with this. Many times, we can transform reality with our minds and positive thinking is a good way to make the best of what we experience. HOWEVER pain and difficult feelings and difficult times need to be attended to. Pain and all emotions exist for a reason and behind every uncomfortable emotion and painful experience, there's a desire, an opportunity for change, or something we can learn about ourselves and the world around us. We need to stick with the pain and accept the feelings at least long enough to figure out what that is. And we need to be compassionate with ourselves and others when there is pain.
Repressing uncomfortable thoughts or feelings isn't the best way to go and in my experience I find that they come back to haunt you if you do.
I'm not a fan of dwelling and I want to get back up and on track and when the time is right to do this, positive thinking is great.
Definitely - based on positive personal experience.
Since you mentioned the bble - I might add my experience is negative: that evil and despotic entity, The Catholic Church must be destroyed at all costs.
Not as you are interrpreting it. Anyone can say, 'I'm going to have a good day.' and do something about how you go about your day. You control what happens only to the point of your choices. You cannot control other's choices. You might want a good day but Joe next door decides he's going to back into your car. Biblically, we live to please God and follow the examples laid out in the bible, not what WE think we should do. There is NO biblical truth in this and I don't have room enough (or enough time) to add all the scriptures that point to this. I suggest you research it. This is very new age and empty. Only Christ can fill you and bring happiness, not your own human choices to 'be happy'. You will find dispair and then no doubt move on to something else new age that you feel will work. Be bold...try God! : ) It's not for the faint of heart. I dare you!
Why, just this morning I was thinking that maybe I should try that because nothing else seems to be working for me. So early this morning I smiled really big and told myself, "Today is going to be a great day!" several times in a row. I couldn't tell that it made any difference.
I try to find positive aspects in my daily life. I do not ignore the negative realities that are presented by the media and also by people who are experiencing negativity in their daily lives. On the whole, I am happier when I seek positive experiences.

I don't believe in that at all. Things happen, and sometimes it doesn't matter what your mindset is. Some things can't be changed.
