Does anyone here believe that they are/may be a vampire?
I am wondering because I have recently started to do some research on them. The main contact I communicate with identifies herself as a specific kind (no clue if it's legit, but she has been doing research for over 20 yrs and has discovered that about herself).
Just interested to know if anyone else believes they are one and why.
Thanks :)

Well I do like red meat... and black clothes. And have been known to enjoy sucking on women's necks. And feel physical pain when I'm forced to go into a church. Damn, it's adding up...

There is documentation of a certain dificency that causes a person to crave the taste of blood but not the full consumption to sustain life. I don't believe that a person can claim to be a "vampire" the mythological kind anyhow. I'd meet them and test the theory if they are legit what do they have to hide right? Someplace sunny

Not a "blood vampire" but perhaps a psychic vampire... in the sense that I'm intense and suck out a lot of energy from people if I don't watch it.

I know life sucks sometimes but the real story starts from vlad the impaler (check your history books) a good book writer took this story and made him a neck SUCKER. I would not be going around sucking strangers necks unless you want to be in a casket yourself. AKA: AIDES, HIPATITIS a,b,C AND ANY OTHER STD YOU CAN THINK OF GET MY POINT. WINSTONWELLS GOTTA GOOD POINT. I dress in black suck cute girls neck .

I am a Polish Vampire (women swoon over me)...

Vampires feed on the blood of the living. In folkloric tales, the undead vampires often visited loved ones and caused mischief or deaths in the neighborhoods they inhabited when they were alive.

I am 100 percent Polish (Eastern European) and I drink CZARNINA (Polish Duck Soup) DRIPPING with BLOOD. Also, I attend Catholic Mass and receive Holy Communion which, as all good Catholics know, is REALLY THE BODY AND BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST!

CZARNIA…Put vinegar into glass or crockery bowl (not metal) and into this catch the BLOOD when killing the Duck or Goose and stir to avoid coagulation. Fresh pigs BLOOD may also be used.

My research shows me Vampirism is the practice of drinking blood from a person or animal. The vampire myth as we know it is most strongly rooted in East European (particularly Slavic) folklore. My clan is 100 Polish.

Being a 'Vampire' would be neat-o. Same with being a werewolf or perhaps a walking and grunting mummy. Caveat: that is sci-fi and not reality. Did you forget that part?

Not me- but I had this extremely creepy feeling when I went to give blood that the people who were running the place were all vampires (and hence the reason for wanting blood and the socially acceptable way of attaining it). I do not normally think like this, but every time I went back I could not shake this feeling and they LOOKED like vampires that would yes pass as human to the average person who did not percieve astutely. There's a mental disorder called Renfield Syndrome that make people crave blood. People who suffer from this condition are primarily male. The craving for blood arises from the idea that it conveys life-enhancing powers.

Those are people who have a disorder which you might refer to as vampires, although they are just people who are compelled to drink blood. Other than that they are just regular people.

Then there are weirdos who think they are and call themselves vampires. They dress like goths and have little rituals at night. They even find donors to give them blood to drink.

But those people aren't vampires either. They are just crazy people who like to play pretend. But they are probably about as close to a real vampire as your going to get.

So no there are no real vampires, at least not in the same way as your typical Dracula. I mean come on dude, this is real life, how could you actually think vampires are real?

I don't, but I find the mythical lore of vampires to be interestingly sexy; although I know how vampirism came to be in our history books, it was nothing like the neck sucking, woman seducing vampire we all know and love.

Sara, that comment is so wrong. I love it!

We have millions of tiny vampires where I'm from. They fly around almost all year and give you all kinds of trouble. We use a product called, OFF, to combat them.

From what I gather, real vampires do exist; however, they are very small in number, they are nocturnal and they are extremely anemic. They are not necessarily bad people, either - but they are different, that's for sure. If you are feeling brave one of these fine days, I suggest that you visit a vampire club (yes, they do exist); just be sure and tell them that you are only there for the learning experience (ie, just to observe them) and not because you want to donate your blood!

Yes, I am a vampire. I love to bite people on the neck and suck their blood. I also have an alien space chip in my head which cauxes me to bite people and act like a vampire. Oh well.

Nah, but the folklore is very interesting. I sometimes joke i am, because im not really a big fan of bright sunlight, or getting up early, but no.
I do believe there is a disorder, called porphyria which has vampire like symptoms, like aversion to sunlight, pale skin and iron deficiency - some sufferers even admit to drinking blood to alleviate symptoms, but this is extreme, as blood generally makes you vomit - this is why we no longer put our head's back when we get a nosebleed. It's a very strange illness, but i don't think it's vampirism - although this disorder could've been the fact behind the myth, like lycanthropy - the belief you are a wolf, doesn't actually make you an actual silver-bullet werewolf, but it could've spawned a lot of folklore, being such an unusual mental illness. That's what i reckon anyway.

I believe the stories had to come from somewhere... and even if they are just stories, they are fun and fascinating... but I prefer to believe that they just might be out there.
