I am terrible when it comes to taking photos so using electronic cameras works well for me. Film has the disadvantage of you never know what you really have until the film is developed. On the upside, film is continuous tone, which is better than 2,400 pixels. Many magazines still require this for production work, drum scanning negatives/positives unless I am falling behind the times, which is probably true. For my work, I work mainly in DPI (900+), not usually pixels.
