Does anyone know how to correct pizza dough?

I am making meatball calzones and the recipe called for canned pizza dough. I popped open the can and rolled out the dough. There was a whole in it, so I tried to roll it out. After 30 mins of getting tangled in this dough, I gave up. It kept rolling back. LOL! Does anyone know how I can get it to stay rolled out? Help! I'm a klutz. haha

Sternly. Don't let it push you around.

Ok, put it in the fridge a few minutes, makes it less sticky. Sprinkle surface to roll upon with flour, re-knead dough, then try rolling it out again. :)

Have you tried nailing it to the breadboard?

canned dough???
dough is so easy to make
so is pizza, here is how I make it

PIZZA

Crust
flour, 2 to 6 cups water, one cup oil, 2 tablespoons
salt, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, one teaspoon
yeast, equivalent of one packet cornmeal, handful

Sauce
tomato sauce, 1 can tomato paste, 1 to 3 small cans
oregano, big handful sage leaves (not rubbed), 2 tablespoons
marjoram (optional), big handful
garlic something, equivalent to one clove of fresh garlic

Topping
hot Italian sausage mozzarella cheese
mushrooms black olives or else anything you want
---------
cook the sauce first
put in all the sauce ingredients using one can of tomato paste, bring to boil then simmer uncovered. Stir when you think it needs stirring. If it looks too thin add another can of tomato paste.

Now the crust
the water should be lukewarm, if it is too hot the yeast will be killed
add the yeast, sugar and one teaspoon of flour then stir it up.

the top of the yeast water should be foamy or bubbly after 5 minutes. If not your yeast is probably no good, fix it by adding a spoonful of baking powder (not soda). This won't bring the yeast back to life, it will provide some leavening so the crust is light and tasty.

Pour that in a mixing bowl then add a cup or two of flour to that. Add the oil.
Mix this up thoroughly start adding flour and stir.. Stop when you can't stir.
Turn this on a counter and knead it like bread, then put it someplace to rise.

Putting the Pizza together:
make the crust fit flat on your pan. I roll it out with a rolling pin.
Sprinkle some cornmeal on the pan to keep the crust from sticking.
Put it on the pan & brown it until the crust is just stiff, about 4 min.
put the sauce, toppings and one half of the cheese you will use on it.
Bake at 425 until the cheese is all melted, add the rest of the cheese and continue baking until it is done.

** STUFFED PIZZA **
do the same as above except:
you need a 10 inch cast iron skillet

don't roll the crust out. First divide it into thirds. Roll one third out until it is at least as big as the top of the skillet. This should be very thin, almost transparent.
Sprinkle cornmeal in the skillet
Put the other two thirds back together and roll out like pie crust and fit it in the skillet. Brown this for 4 minutes at 400 degrees.
Fill the crust two thirds full with toppings, no sauce yet. The cheese goes in now. Press the filling firmly to level things out.
Put the first crust on top of this and press to the top edge of the bottom crust to make a seal.
The sauce goes on top of this crust. Sprinkle a few spices or some parmesan cheese on this.

Bake at 400 for at least 40 minutes or until the sauce looks like it is going to burn

** variation for stuffed pizza **
don't use regular pizza toppings for the filling. Use broccoli with a lot of cheese. Cook the broccoli first.
