Does anyone know where I can buy (or download) songs from the 30's and 40's?

I've tried looking in CD stores but the farthest back any go are 50's. I've tried searching online a few times for downloads, but with no success. It doesn't help that I don't really know then names of any bands, singers, or songs, either. XD

Itunes has a lot of options, as do many music sites.

If you're into swing or jazz music, try using Google to search for names like Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie or Duke Ellington. If you like it a bit more soulful, maybe search for Ella Fitzgerald or Marlene Dietrich. Good luck. :)

itunes might have some, but they are pretty dodge.

Try Target...We sell lots of sets.....You want it...We probably sell it....If not in the store...Try Target on-line....

There are many places, but one very good is here. I have more than 100 CDs from the swing-era.

Stay up late at night and surf , they are always selling crap on tv.
not saying that 30/40 music is crap
