    I don't. Just spreads an illiteracy around, makes way for new phrases and fads to spread like wildfire. Instead of seeing people in person, we send them a text and respond halfhearted. We don't mean what we say in a text- "lol" can mean "I don't know what else to say"- so it encourages that sort of careless dishonesty.

    People are too attached to their phones, too dependent on them as it is. They take them everywhere and can't function without them. They pull them out during family events, while in school, while in church.

    All in all- they've done more harm than good. I appreciate the need to have a cell phone in case of emergency, but I'm not fond of texting.

    I 100% agree with you although texting is communication in actuality it really isn't and has truly made a lazy society and disconnected.

    Texting is fine. It's the getting hit from behind by the person who is texting that I don't like very much.
