Yes, so does stress...when I met my now ex-fiance back in June 2006 I weighed 165. By Christmas I weighed 98 pounds. He kept going back to his ex-wife sleeping with her, then coming home to me telling me he was moving back in with her, but he never did, he always stayed with me, but yet he would still go screw her. My doctors put me Insure weight gain, you could see all the bones in my body. That man cause me so much depression & stress I couldn't even think of food. I had to move out, I did for a year. He asked me to move back in after the year was up. I did.

It's happening all over again. I am back down to 109. because of the break up and because of my meds. The doctors say I lose anymore they will put me back on Insure. This break up is intence and hard to handle. We've been together 3 years. I love him with all my heart.

Yes. I know I do. When I'm sad or depressed, I completely lose my appetite. :(

Right now I'm ten pounds overweight, so I must be pretty damn happy! LOL

I gain weight when I'm really depressed, and lose it when I'm not. Last year I gained about 40lbs from 2 different bouts of depression- and lost almost half of that when I got away from the stress of my current life. The year before that, I was particularly non-depressed for a couple months and ended up losing 15-20lbs.

When i'm depressed ... i eat. Ans the waist-line gets bigger not smaller. Unless i'm eating the wrong foods, which i don't think. My experience is depression increases ones weight.

It certainly varies from person to person. Depression and stress completely kill my appetite, and through the worst of it I've gone days barely eating, or I forget to eat at all. Some people are the opposite and eat like crazy when stressed or going through depression.

I have, I've been depressed for a few weeks now and I never feel hungry. I only eat about one small meal a day. I'm starting to get nervous about this because I know it can't be healthy, but I never fell hungry. I don't know how much weight I've lost but It's diffidently noticeable.
