Does anyone out there struggle to get a diagnosis for MS?

It took a long time before my mother was given a firm, definitive diagnosis of MS. They did what seemed like dozens of tests and ruled about pretty much everything else. After several MRI's, nerve tests (the ones with the pins), and a spinal, they confirmed it.

MS is so complex; it can present differently in different people, depending on what stage it's in and whether they are having a "flare up." There are certain key symptoms like plaque on the brain, muscle spasms, fatigue, etc. that docs look for, but it's sometimes a long road before they know for sure.
