I always have these ideas that I will...I'll see journals and think 'those are so pretty' and buy them...even write something in the beginning...then...nothing. I have so many journals that are barely started and it's a shame because they're such nice journals. I end up using them for sketchbooks...I guess that's my type of diary...more visual.

That's not a bad thing, you express yourself threw your sketches. When it comes to words you don't feel it. Pictures describe more than 10 pages of venting in a diary/journal can. :)

That's true...I love to look back at the sketches too...I can tell where I was. I do like writing but I don't seem to do in a journal. I have these romantic ideas that I will indeed hand write my thoughts out, but sadly the computer make sit so much easier. Do you write in a journal?

i have a little black book i take with me on trips where i can't access a computer. but i still prefer to type because it's faster.

I keep a writing journal. Not sure if this is the same thing. I jot down song lyrics or tabulates or story ideas.

I think its perfectly the same, you can still go back and see where your head was at that time. Song lyrics, and stories are just a reflection or you at that moment.

Well, then, to answer your original question: yes, I do. I prefer to write in pencil -- easier to edit.

I keep a notebook next to my bed. Every night before I go to sleep, I write down 5 things I'm grateful for that day.
