Don't you think we all be a lot better off if Freud never existed?
Well, 1st off u have to BE 'bi polar',,, that's something much more easy to type than to be clinicaly diagnosed as truly being. If so,, absolutely, science has proven, some time ago, that endorphins act as 'triggers' to bi polar folks 'explosive' personality 'swings'
i wish there was a trigger. it just happens.
I usually have a trigger, but every now and then it just seems to happen
i find that if i dwell on that i might have a manic episode, the episodes are much more frequent. But when i psychologically force myself to not think of when i will experience mania, and hope/fear for it, that they are not as frequent. It is terribly hard to do so, but i am being strong, because i am sick of being zombified by pills
A lot of things can trigger a mood swing with bipolar disorder. One day a restaurant server treated my STBX really well and it triggered a manic episode. I've also noticed certain types of music can trigger it. Not sure about depressive episode triggers though.
Yes your mood just changes, no trigger necessary.
