Well, I can give you a perspective on this from what I've read and FEEL is likely to be correct.

(1) Our Essential Self, at the core of each of us, is one with all that is, and can thus be regarded as the nearest that we could get to a god-like being. In other words, "God" is in us, each one. I don't believe that there is a separate being such as many envisage, who created and manages this creation, and rewards or punishes us for what we do.

(2) Friends whom I have overseas have among them a young woman who has trained herself to act as a "portal", through which beings from the non-physical, "dimensional" worlds can come and exist for a matter of hours or even days if needed, to tell us and type out articles describing how it is in the after death experience. That may sound a bit improbable to you, but... I can only say that I have been interested in the "after-death experience" for many decades now, and I believe its not as wacky as it may sound.

The dimensional beings all say that a human who has committed suicide is always dreadfully ashamed and remorseful when they become aware in the dimensions of what they have done, and its significance. When they contemplated embodying, they had a good reason to do so; they studied all aspects of what it was they wanted to achieve, and designed an embodiment (parents, religion, locality, main events) that would help them achieve their goals. Friends were enlisted to embody in their area to interact with them in ways that would help. Non-physical guides were enlisted to help them in that way, by inspiration and seeing to it that critical events happened as they should. And then they went through all the rigmarole of becoming a baby and being brought up by their parents, with all the effort and energy that requires.

And then they came up against some circumstance that they felt they couldn't handle, and THREW IT ALL AWAY!

Can you imagine how ashamed they would feel?

Our lives are designed by us, with guidance, for us. NOTHING that happens to us is by chance; and in every case that things seem to get too much, there is a way around it - somehow - without ending one's life.

The result of committing suicide, besides the terrible remorse, is that the being has to re-incarnate again almost immediately, and face the same situation again. So it is absolutely of no use suiciding!

I am well aware that situations can come up in which you just can't see your way out of it... and the feeling can be all-encompassing; but there is ALWAYS a way, and you have to give yourself time, patience, and the asking of your God-self to show you what it is.

I hope this information will be of help!

Why would you ask mortals if "God" forgave anything? How would we know any more than you would?

Suicide is explicitly forbidden in the Bible, and if you kill yourself, really, you cannot ask for forgiveness afterward, so it is an unforgivable sin. however, if you attempted suicide and ended up surviving and regretting your decision, I'm sure you could ask for forgiveness and God would grant it.

I really dislike Christianity's view that those who commit suicide are condemned to an eternity in Hell.

Not withstanding my own problems with Religon, by their own logic God is the Father, and we are His Children. Using this parental theme, I ask would a father punish his sick children? I wouldn't it. Most people who commit suicide are suffering from some form of mental illness; they are not right in their head. Would God punish these people for being ill? Perhaps they are incapable of seeing the "sin" in their actions and they are completely delusional. People can believe whatever they like, but I don't believe that suicide falls into this category. My own brother took his life, and as angry as I am to this day, he was not well person. He was sick, as a well person would not do what he did.

God is relentlessness. He would never forgive anyone because he's too busy fabricating reasons to kill them.

Although I can not say yes or no , I will say this . I had a very close family member to me kill himself . He was not sick in the head . He was not crazy . He was a good person . I loved him very much , he became very sick and was dying . He watched some one suffer for years of the same thing he had . He could not bear to let himself become like that . It was a painful thing to see him dying . He was a strong minded and strong hearted person , in my eyes the was no reason for him to not be forgiven . I believe that if there is a God that he loves all his children and lets them all in to his kingdom .

I do not believe in "God' the same way most people do. I do believe in God, but more in the Sylvia Browne sense of the word. I believe that we all make a decision to live and we enter a binding contract with God. By committing suicide, I do not think that there is any forgiveness from God or the Universe. I think Suicide represents a broken contract, and there are ramifications as such although I do not believe that those consequences include eternal damnation.

I think this is a very insensitive way to think about this subject. It could be that some people purposfully kill themselves to get back at others, but I think the majority either have a biological disorder or are driven to it by others. I think of a kid here in California just last week who killed himself just because he could no longer take the teasing of his peers. A foundation was set up for the first time in history as a result to stop teasing and see it for what it really is- an harrassment crime.

By asking such a question it implies that you do not believe other people could drive another person to suicidue. If anyone is breaking this comandment it is the people who do not think about their careless and thoughtless actions towards others and realize that they are fully capable of driving another person to suicide. I have had several friends commit suicide and I can assure you they will not be in hell. God has full compassion and even honor for them. The people who drove them to cut their lives short- it is these people who are in danger of God's judgement.

It clearly states in the bible that we shall not murder. But a person who commits suicide is not in their right frame of mind obviously and feels like there is nowhere or no one to turn too. Me I almost attempted suicide and by Gods grace and mercy was stopped because holy spirit spoke to me deep in my being and told me to put my mind on my home. And my child woke up right at that moment and started crying. My mind was so focused on the physical pain I was feeling I just wanted to not feel it anymore. But I submitted to the advice of Holy Spirit and began cleaning my house and my focus changed to the needs around me that I could handle and not on the pain. As I came close to finishing my housework my thoughts slowly started back to the pain I had started to "forget" about and I was gonna do some laundry and Holy Spirit told me to first check my pants pockets first. Well I did earlier cause you see I had 2 vicodins and thought I had lost them and wouldn't be able to get my prescribtion until Monday and it was Saturday night. I rechecked and deep down in the corners the two pills had rested and all I could do was cry cuz I was about to slit my wrists cuz of this mind shattering pain I was in. I thanked the Holy father for guiding me and teaching me this most important message. I think suicides will be given a chance cuz they are not in their right frame of mind, but like a veil that shields them from making the right decisions to spare their precious lives. At least I hope they will be given a chance at redemption, to be in that situation and feel NO HOPE, to feel that you are alone at a critical moment, to only be surrounded by the pain they must be feeling is heartshattering. I hopeand pray for a chance to be redeemed. Sorry so long.

I had a client about to celebrate his 92nd birthday, he was in good health for his age. But he was depressed over our current US & world situation. He committed suicide by starving himself to death.
He claimed he was a good Christian & Methodist? I am a Born again Christian and don't think the Lord honors those who are Chickens?

it depends which god??? you follow......in japan it is dishonarable if you dont kill yourself ...if you have brought shame upon yourself or family
muslim extremists say allah rewards those who suicide for a cause....so did japan...the kamikaze fighter pilot
then there are those who cannot cope with the woes and struggles of today...many things/drugs and people drive people to suicide...they have no other choice and it is not up to us or false idols to judge...we are only mulch anyway and to the earth we return...

Well if You murder someone...You can ask forgiveness. But if You murder Yourself..How can You ask forgiveness for murdering Yourself....God's word does say...Thou shall not kill...And that includes Yourself...Yes people may feel that have no one to talk to,no one to turn to..They may feel all alone..But thats when God wants You to turn to Him,not to kill yourself. And You must ask forgiveness for Your sins to go to heaven..

I don't know, and it doesn't really matter.

What about someone that has done harm to themself intentionally and is going to die, then deciding that it's a mistake, but too late to reverse the decision. That's one of my hells.

No. He does not. He would, according to canonical law, if you sought absolution, but by doing the deed, you cannot. By the time the deed is commited, it is too late. You are dead, and having commited a mortal sin, without confession, you are forever dead to god. At least that's what i've learned.

No one can really know, but generally most people believe it is forbidden. It is murder.

well..

God does not forgive those who finished their lives with their own hands.. becoz the life we have its not our its granted by God and we have no right that we spoil the most precious and most priceless gift that God give us with our own hands.. and people who kill themselves they commit sin.. i think God will not forgive them...

regards
