I guess it really depends on the people in the relationship and if they are commited to fixing what went wrong in the first place. My husband and I split for nine months when were were dating and now were happily married...most of the time anyway!

For me, its like watching a movie you have already watched for hell knows how many times...same mistakes, same problems, same everything...prefer to meet someone else and DISCOVER someone else.

I doubt it. They are called "exes" for a reason.

i doubt it. i really see it as going backwards... the only way something like that MIGHT work is if you dated as a teen or VERY early 20-something and then met later on when you were established and whatnot. that is the period fo time in which people would be more likely to change in a significant enough way.

Depends. In my experience, no. It took me a week to remember why we broke up.

Nope. I've only seen it happen once. My parents divorced when I was in the 3rd grade and then remarried. They have been together 40 years!

I don't think so. There was a logical reason why the relationship was ended in the first place, however there is always the possibility!

Only if you really solve for good the problems you had the first time... otherwise it won't work

If enough has changed it could work, right? People change..

well in my past history the answer is NO. but i am sure there are times it may be possible as i do beleive people change and are regreatful of how they treated you.but, they are xxx's for a reason so be sure you don't trust to deep till you are sure of their reasons for coming back into your life, they just may be passing through again.

sometimes, it works. rarely. most of the time, there was a reason to break up, and unless that reason is not gone ... and there can always be other new reasons.

I certainly hope so for the sake of someone who has done just that recently.

I agree with BellyButton--it depends on why you broke up in the first place.
