if you are both enjoying the arguments it is ok to do so,is it not more childish not to talk to each other.

Well if you don't get on and you argue constantly and on a daily basis, no point in keeping the friendship really. Give yourself time and space for a month then if you want to continue the friendship, try to avoid arguments and if that fails then friendship with him shouldn't continue . Hope this helps.
