If it has to do with academic's and the answer was taken as the best answer was obviously wrong. I would say yes.

But you know what? No....You can't fix stupid. Why waste your energy? =/

Love your answer and your attitude is the same as mine. Plus, I never check who gets best answer unless I get a notification, telling me it's mine. :)

Sometimes the 'right' answer is not the best answer. The Ep'ers reply with some of the most amazing answers, so who cares if it's not the correct one anyway? We're here to escape from reality and stress and just have good old fashioned fun...that's what counts.

I agree about the amazing answers, and I don't lose any sleep, but when someone asks a question like, "What color does yellow and green make?" and the one who answers "red" has the majority of the votes. It sticks in my craw just the slightest bit.

It has, but it can also be very informative about the mindset of those who readily agree with or believe anything put in front of their face. There are also those who simply choose not to think for themselves and leave it to others to manipulate their thoughts.
    Ready for the election? ;)

i have been rarely exposed to academic types of questions here so i do not know. Maybe they are friends with them? maybe they like it because thats what they honestly believe too?...i can only assume.

It doesn't so much bother me, because it is what it is.....however, sometimes I scratch my head and wonder why a certain answer has so many votes, but I don't get beside myself over the fact. As long as you know what the right answer is, why kick yourself over something on the question section on EP? If you truly want politically correct answers on questions, you should find a site that fit your needs....a site that is known for answering correct on all questions and are rated appropriately...because you never know what you're gonna get with EP!

What does "political correctness" have to do with anything?:

To be PC is to be right with everything.....to have a moral common sense! That's essentially what you want when you look at answers, right?

It does explain why the people on the new often miss the basic point of scientic study and controversy. Logic seems to be something people only apply when it gets to the answers they want.
