    Yes for financial circumstances but no for matters of the heart and no for ethical circumstances.

    That's a good answer and I agree, but what about matters of the heart that are effected by money? Money problems are the #1 cause in divorces because they create marital rifts.

    I believe that before you marry someone it is a good idea to discuss finances beforehand and agree on how you will handle the funds. It sounds old school but that is what my grandparents did and they have been married 68 yrs. :)

    It all depends the situation.

    If you have no debts, then yes.
    If it is to buy love, not really.
    If you have been hurt, then yes, you need being compensated.

    Money doesn't solve everything and in all, it does help.
