It sure seems to me that men seem to want/need the stability of marriage more than women; I've noticed that women have remarkable resilience when it comes to break-ups, whereas men just kind of suffer forEVER. I also think being married makes men feel more socially acceptable as a person, more so than women. But that's just been my experience:)

depends on what a woman wants from her life - if its constant companionship, or perhaps to begin a family. then yes she may want marriage
. But then equally there are many men who want these things too.
So I guess wanting ' marriage' is horses for courses really.
