Does physical appearance really matter? and if so...Why?

Being attractive matters. Physical appearance has little to do with being attractive. I am attracted to a person's personality. Obviously there has to be something interesting about the person's appearance to get your attention in the first place but after that, appearance is insignificant.

For me, it takes more than a handsome face to attract me...you have to have some sort of certain qaulity to really get my attention. I admit, someone who looks good will grab your attention, but only for a few moments...it's really about what the person is made up of. I've met people who could physically attractive, but because of their nasty attitude, they just look so ugly!!!!

Attractiveness is a completely relative judgment. But I read somewhere that people deemed “attractive” by society are usually perceived to be better mating candidates for the opposite sex. Or whatever. Personally, I’d take a guy who complemented me emotionally and mentally rather than a drop-dead-gorgeous stud with zero personality and a funky attitude.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... I believe this statment, so what you might find attractive I might find repulsive. Everyone is different. However, physical appearance says a lot about who you are, your confident, your comfortable in your own skin, your strong, etc. Your appearance should go with your personality because you never want to misrepresent your true self. If the true you is a beautiful person people will see that but if you try to mask your personality with a wardrobe that doesn't match trust me it will show and people will think you are fake and probably not give you much attention. Men of course are visual creatures by nature but we can win them over with a great personality! Even some of the most goregeous people get steamrolled because they have nothing else to offer but their good looks and how do you carry on a conversation with someone who is only good at "looking good" ??? Be true to yourself and others will be true to you...

If your not phisicaly attractive i would go mental.
