    Fulfillment of the Covenant:

    5:1
O ye who believe! fulfil (all) obligations.

    Honesty:
    17:36
And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned.
    16:116
And do not say about what your tongues assert of untruth,
    Orphans in Islam:
    17:34
Come not nigh to the orphan's property except to improve it, until he attains the age of full strength; and fulfil (every) engagement, for (every) engagement will be enquired into (on the Day of Reckoning).
    2:220
And they ask you about orphans. Say, "Improvement for them is best. And if you mix your affairs with theirs - they are your brothers. And Allah knows the corrupter from the amender. And if Allah had willed, He could have put you in difficulty. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
    Modesty:
    17:37
And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance. Verily, you can neither rend nor penetrate the earth, nor can you attain a stature like the mountains in height.
    Cooperation in goodness:
    5:2
And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.
    Fair and justice:
    5:8
O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah , witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do.

    6:152
And when you testify, be just, even if [it concerns] a near relative.

I honestly can go on and on about this non stop - The Quran is the book of beautiful ethics and great morals, if only Muslims would truly follow the ethics the Quran is proposing including myself.

I think that Islam is a religion of love however too many of it's believers have determined that the path to God is by slaughtering woman and totally innocent children in order to somehow convert the infidels to their religion. Those practicing true Islam support this atrocity by their silence and refusal to loudly and constantly denounce it.

Where did you get this information from? This is a complete mistake on your part. It doesn't appear to me that you have found out any information for yourself, have you ever read the Quran? You appear to be a little ignorant of what Islam is all about. Please read the Quran and judge it from your own personal point of view and not by what mass media have been ramming down your neck for the last few years. Intelligent people find out the truth and the source of the information first and then they form their own opinion,. Then just look at what some non-muslims do and check out the crime rate and the murder rate and then compare the 2 to find out who commits the most murders, crimes and killings etc.

You didn't read my first sentence did you? I have several active Muslims in my family and served on the Board of the now defunct, Occupied Land Fund. I have read the Quran and have an excellent working knowledge of Islam.

I once read a lot of that to see where they are coming from.
It does teach that but only to their own, the rest of the world are heathens not to be given the time of day or respect.

Wow, you have opened a can of worms. I was given advice ages ago and now I should of listened, never talk about Religion or Politics.

    http://www.quranexplorer.com/quran/

This is a Quran explorer page the verse I am referring you to here is Chapter 4 it tells you how to treat orphans, family, women etc. If you take time to read it you might get a true picture of what Islam is all about. You don't have to be Muslim to read the Quran but it could help you to understand Islam and to get the negative picture out of your mind that the mass media is brainwashing you with.

Islam like every other religion is riddled with those who make it look bad, and like all other religions, Islam refuses to "police" it radical members. Islam is a beautiful religion and sorry, the "mass media" isn't giving it a bad name, it just might be those muslims straping on bombs and slaughtering innocent children. tho

I asked for passages in the Qur'an that instruct Muslims to be patient and polite with others, not those that discuss divorce and clothing. Can you refer me to such verses? :)

Those passages that I refer to you are enough for me and other muslims. If you are not, what can I do? seeing they not see, hearing they not hear. We don't need you.
