Does the taxes they cut from your pay check get returned to you after a year?

Okay so you make 2,000 bucks a month

They cut 500 bucks for taxes that = 1,500 every month so for 1 year is 18k a year

the total taxes they cut for 1 year is 6,000 bucks, will it get returned to you once you file for taxes? every year?
