Does Violence in SPORT have a place?

Can a "bump" be as legal as a "THUMP??

I guess some sports are violent, like boxing, If you participate in it, you will get punched. I don't know why you would want to, but some do.
As long as the violent sport is legit with refs and rules to keep it fair and somewhat safe, then go for it if that's what you're into.

It does when the sport is AMERICAN GLADIATORS. You go into it expecting to get thumped!

If that's the rule of the sport like MMA for instance. If you lose it on the court playing basket ball and start punching that just makes you a pathetic moron who shouldn’t even be playing in the first place or maybe not even out in society with normal people.

In some sports, yes. I've been a hockey fan since I was a kid, and it wouldn't be the same to me without the physicality. I'm talking tough guy vs tough guy--yes, there is an unspoken code of conduct--and not cases where the violence is a blatant assault. If the fighting were not in hockey, I'd end up watching womens' hockey. ;-)
