Does your brain revisit mistakes of the past. My mind can click on negative things from the past so easily.

some little reminder and I'm reliving some ordeal from yesteryear. Something so far gone no one knows or cares about except me.

YES! And I thought I was the only one. Like flashbacks but of stuff you really shouldn't give a crap about. I think it make be somehow connected to PTSD, if you've ever suffered a severe trauma.

It's called reliving the past and it's something you have to stop yourself from doing by saying NO and forcing it out of your mind with another thought instead. It's like overthinking. Both I have spent a lot of time doing. I have gotten myself upset and in a panic over something that happened months ago, and for what? I think it's just a sign that you need to be busier with more positive things as that is it for me

all the time and when my mama passed away every thought of me being mean or not helping would circle in my mind.. The shoulda coulda woulda"s is what was driving me nuts...
I also have flashes of being abused and other mistakes I've made... Its not fun they all run through my mind when I lay down to sleep... I'm sorry this happens to you I wouldnt wish it on anyone... PTSD can cause all of this I have it...

Do both of us a favor and never say flashes of being abused and "other mistakes I'VE made" Not your mistake, don't blame yourself please.
