no feminism is about empowering people, just happens to be that 49% of the population likes to oppress the other 51%

Ah. So then if it's about winning, then I'd be correct in giving up after all the times I've been "all men?" Once a Wiccan girl even went so far as to suggest she was the only person in the room with breasts, even though when I'm not at work, mine are a bit hard to miss even if small. So are you saying that if the 51% is going to insist on being sexist towards me, then I better just throw in with the 49%?

No feminism isn't about oppresing or discriminating against the 49% it's about empowering and discriminating positivley for the 51%. For one person to be empowered another doesn't have to be oppressed it's about promoting equality in an unequal World. Life isn't about winning and losing that's a very 'male' perspective... life is far better if you care and share with others.

It doesn't. More often than not, though, it seems like when I read feminist writings that I'm reading the end of Animal Farm. All genders are equal, but some genders are more equal than others?

think there's plenty of nuts on both sides. the extreme feminists and the idk the word "maleists"? are as bad as each other.

    No. That'ss the whole point.

I do hope that they will change their minds about transwomen. It's based on fears that are are stupid as thinking a gay teacher or coach must be a *********. You'd think they'd have some respect for transwomen becayuse they are truly bucking the gender divide. Although that may be the whole reason for the anger.

Sometimes fighting fire with fire is the only viable option. Eventually the fire dies and people move on to less drastic measures.
