You are quite mistaken in that belief. All mammals are emotional creatures.
When my dog slept next to me it was for comfort, and out of love.

You must be thinking of cats. A dog's bond to a human is much more complex.

Surely you must own a poorly trained dog or a cat. Dogs are definatly mans best friend. When I was young my fathers retired gun dog had very bad pain in his hips. He would still follow us anywhere, to the point where he coulnt walk and had to be carried. No food involved. Very sad. He just wanted to be with his friends. Dogs posses human qualities, a very useful one being protection. Even a poorly trained dog will protect his master if he senses he is in danger

Dont you know that your friends are only friendly and nice to you because you are useful to them?
Dont you know that your parents only love you because they put so much work into raising you?
Dont you know that you might offend dog owner's by posting this online?

Answer these without saying using the words "different" , "special" and "Not true".

you're naive. it's all about food with dogs. they bribe people with affection just for the end result -- food.

You love your parents because they feed you? You got yourself a girl friend or wife because they can give you great sex?

I don't believe that's true. A dog is mans best friend for a reason. And even if it were true, at least they are loyal. What does that say about cats? Cats get fed by people and can't be bothered to be loyal.

    Dogs have masters...cats have staff.

So I am guessing you do not have a dog then, or you would know better. I have seen some horrific cases of abuse by so called caring owners and yet the animal in question will stil defend the owner woho has treated them so badly.

It's actually because dogs are pack animals..and when we keep them with us...we become their pack. They are not the only animals like that....people for instance....
