Usually I will look past a few times and if I dont understand something I will ask to clarify ,but yeah I totally hate the feeling, like a let down of sorts if you begin to like someone and things just dont gel.

We all say somethings we don't mean. Our brain seems to work faster than our mouth and at times the words are just there.
You can always respond in return with, "I don't think you meant to say that."

It used to bother me, but then I learned that the ONE little thing was just the sudden realization that there had been a lot of little things that I had never really paid attention to and this was not the first, but the last in a long line of *little* things that came together to make a big thing.
