I don't know about most, because the issues that many people have are very real and can invade every corner. Some people are going to carry those issues at the front of their minds no matter where they are. However, I do find that taking the time to sit in the sunlight for a while can relieve some of my stress and make me stop and just breathe for a while. It's nice to be reminded of the wide world and to smell the air and remember what's going on with nature. Makes my problems seem a bit less important. And that vitamin D is good stuff.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. That is exactly the sentiment I was trying to express in the space allowed for a question. Outside can't cure disease including diseases of the mind but it is certainly part of having a healthy, balanced life that many here lack.

From what I've seen I suspect that the nephew is better off with the ******* and not with you.

You're assuming that outside isn't the problem with their lives in the first place.

Correct. I am making generaliztions about the nature of most of the complaints I read in this place. Most of them aren't about too much exercise, too much fresh air, too many encounters with the miracles of nature.

I set out to answer a bunch of questions with the advice to go outside, but I ran out of steam and instead phrased it as a question.

Yes! All the problems on her happen indoors. Go out and breathe some fresh air.

Good point. If you do that outside you will look like a tweeker or a street mumbler. You stay in.
