    The symptoms of dry socket are... insane pain. There is no mistaking it. You shouldn't get it if you rinse with warm saltwater and do whatever else the dentist told you. Do Not Smoke.. it will cause it.

    if you don't smoke or suck anything through a straw, you may not have any problems.

    It's not inevitable after wisdom teeth removal. Follow the oral surgeon's directions and perhaps you'll not have the problem.
