I consider myself an EMPATH & I find my moods fluctuate ba<x>sed directly on the person or people I am with in an immediate way.. it can go up or down with one simple comment.<br />

Bi-polars, especially adults, tend to fluctuate (their moods) over greater periods of time.. like weeks or months... (Childhood Bi-polars do have more Rapid Fluctuations).<br />
<br />
It's hard to say, because being an EMPATH is a completely subjective thing... while Bi-Polar is at least a recognized disorder with specific criteria for diagnosis.<br />
