Karen Carpenter comes to mind... They found her in a closet weighing 78 lbs.! On the Dr. Oz show I saw someone that took laxatives to lose weight and she looked like a corps! Also 78lbs.!

Yes. Some Buddhist monks essentially did that, but went a little bit over the edge and consumed a bark used for making lacquer - they pretty much mummified themselves (Sokushinbutsu). There was more to it than just eating this bark though, it's very dedicated.
Only 24 have been found so far, but it's still pretty impressive.Like (1)
