I sometimes get that from people on here. And I hear about all sorts of things from people I talk to in real life. No matter how horrible I think my life is, there is always someone who has it worse than I do. Kind of puts things into perspective.

In many ways I do have it easy, and don't sweat what problems I have. I've read some of the stories on here that I can tell are for real, though, and can,in a way, understand their pain.Makes me wish I could do something more for them than I could here.

The ones that get me are the people who were brutalized or violated by a trusted authority figure in their childhood. Those people had no chance. I got beat up a few times by my dad but that's nothing compared to the horror stories I've read here. My only consolation is this is the internet and people do lie on the internet. But I know these sorts of things do happen in real life to some people.

Of course. I always feel like I have it horrible, but then I read other stories and so many people are hurting it just kills me inside. I think sometimes I do have it worse because, yeah people have it bad, but I feel guilty and sad and dissgusted with myself because I cant do anything to help them. I cant save them or give them what they need. I have a good little life yet im always longing for adventure selfishly. The guilt eats me away and so its one of those which one ways more on the balance scales at which particular moment.

Yes, but occasionally people are in foolish situations of their own making. The fact that they even need to ask whether or not to extricate themselves shows the lack of common sense that probably got them in. It's hard to feel sympathy under those circumstances.

Yep! whenever i feel like 'omg! why is this happening to me' i go have a scroll in the stories and confessions section here. Is it weird that i do that? I dont mean to offend people but i do feel better.

It would be great if those folks who do write those sad stories could also understand that their lives could be so much worse, and most importantly, so much better. Yes. I count my blessings after reading some of them.
