Because you are not supposed to inject an enema into your eardrum! Try another hole instead. LOL

1. You may not have used enough lubrication.
2. Person administering the enema inexperienced.
3.Gentle insertion of tip when lying on left side should be backwards and upwards (towards the navel).
4.A bit of anal play before to relax sphincter.
5.Any piles or anal fissures could cause discomfort.
