It is made by cooking Sausages, unsmoked, butchers meat sausages, in a meat pan in an hot oven,until nearly done. Prepare a batter mix (similar to a pancake mix) and pour on to the hot sausages in the pan and return to the oven, the toads ( the sausages, will poke their heads up a bit). The idea is that the batter should rise and crisp up.<br />
Lovely with Mashed taters and onion gravy.
