For non-competetive lap swimmers: How far do you typically swim and how long does it take you?
I typically swim for an hour - 1 mile in about 40-45 minutes with no help, another half mile in 15 minutes or so with fins to try to strengthen my legs. That is, if I were actually actively swimming at this particular juncture.

Well...for some reasonn I can only do Breast Stroke! I generally do it 3 times a week, at least, and I basically do it for 90 mins, which is 1 1/2 miles...no breaks...

Keeps me fit...keeps my legs strong...and keeps me focussed....

I am totally confused. Sammi above talks about a "breast" stroke and you talk about "lap" swimming. Is that anything like lap dancing? How many parts of the human body do we swim with? Is there such a thing as the leg swim or the butt stroke? What about the p...s stroke. That sounds lewd. I watched the guy that wore leotards in the olypics. I don't know what kind of swimming he did. Let me know about these body part swimming styles or whatever they are.
