For Professional Christians?

Jesus taught; (Judge Not)- so therefore if you see anyone commit a crime, are you not allowed to judge them regardless of the proof or lack thereof? What if u have no proof- but "just know" they are guilty? Is this not also (judging? In the old Mosaic law; "any truth" shall be established in the eyes of @ least 2 witnesses- but what if u have an entire mob as "witnesses" who agree to testify (the same lie) in order to condemn the accused? How do we know the truth- even if we "think" our conclusions are correct, because even as eye-witnesses, conclusions or (assumptions) can often be wrong which means; "our opinions are the same as judging" regardless of any truth or lie involved. (yes?-no?).or... Just give it your best shot.

It simply means do not judge the person. In your example, a judgement of guilt is simply a case of deciding whether they have broken the law or not, which is a question of judging 'the done', not the same as judging 'the doer'.

Not judging a person means to not even concern yourself with any possibilities of guilt. You should just live your life being the best and kindest person you can be, and leave the rest to God.

The "judge not" verse is generally misinterpreted, and it seems you are misinterpreting it as well. When it says, "Judge not, that you will not be judged," the short version is "don't be a friggin' hypocrite because God doesn't take kindly to hypocrisy." It doesn't mean never make a judgment in your life. For example:

Say you see a picture of a wanted rapist/serial killer/dangerous person of your choice on the news. You say to yourself, "Don't judge." Your friend says, "This is not a good person to be around." You guys run into him while walking around the neighborhood at night. Your friend takes off running and you just stand there and smile and keep telling yourself "don't judge." The serial killer/rapist/whatever doesn't care if you're judging him or not, and brutally murders you.

Who made the smarter decision there?

Anyway, don't take my response as a free pass to be a jerk to people, because that's not what this is. It is just to illustrate that making judgments is part of life and, in some cases, survival.

The not judging verse is explained by "Do unto others..."

The verse warns about the attitude used when judging other people's mistakes or crimes.

You are to treat them as you would want to be treated if you were in their shoes.

You missed that verse in it's entirety.

I think you are taking scriptures out of context and confusing his teachings..

okay so you said.. if I was to see someone commit a crime.. I should not judge them but that doesn't mean that I didn't just witness a crime lol

I would know that they are guilty because.. well. I SAW IT! lol and I do not believe that is judging.. judging would be to place wrongful opinions on the person based on just that action..

judgments.. and assumptions.. are two different ideas.

what does this have to do with being a christian? a professional christian to boot?? we all have responsibilities as HUMANS, regardless of our religious beliefs. so perhaps it depends on the "crime", but buddy...start using your brain, will you? use your bible as guidance, sure, but learn how to interpret what is says.
