    actually no, the reincarnation theory claims that link is reincarnated thanks to his Hylian bloodline, where as with the split timeline it's all the same link throughout the games.

    the only problem with that theory is it doesn't explain how WW fits into everything. and supposedly developers of the series hint at the split timeline theory being correct. but i think the idea of reincarnation is more appealing in a sense, as well as easier to understand. it will be harder to explain how everything fits together if they keep adding to the series
