Yeah, I was a chicken **** back then, acted like I was really interested, then found out she was interested. Long story short ended up together for a few months...ahh middle school memories.

it's simple, really. you take the attention for granted, she seems beneath you if she's too attentive. then she leaves and she's no longer beneath you and your realize you really did care. it's like the Groucho Marx joke, "I'd never belong to any club that would have me as a member."
