I don't think German is as ugly as people make it out to be. I think German and Dutch are nice, though they can be a bit gutteral. But they're sister languages to English. In fact, if not for three centuries worth of French shaping the grammar and sounds of English (thanks to the Normans), then English would sound much closer to German. English is a hybrid language as a result and it's why it has such a different sound compared with German, even though, technically, German and English are sisters.

Haha. That's a new one. It's a strong language, that's all. Scottish (accent and Gaelic) is also strong. There are many strong languages out there. It's not just German.
