Girl liking boy 4 years younger than me; is it okay?

I'm a 23 year old female, and I recently began to have feelings for someone four years younger than I am. We kissed at the end of last summer and two days later he went off to college far away; last night we went to a party and hung out all night and ending up making out again... I tried to not let myself feel anything but I'm starting to. He's 19, I feel embarassed about my feelings towards him, I feel like it makes me appear desperate, and I'm not. Today he held my hand, I got butterflies in my stomache but also felt alittle scared thinking of about the possibility that it wasn't a random make out, and he may actually want to persue the potential relationship. I feel like there are so many factors going against it though, not just our age difference but also that we are on two very different pages, he is still in college, part of a frat, and i graduated college and now a teacher. Is it wrong to like him?

Not at all. There seems to be a disparity in age now but as you mature those few years will hardly be noticed.
Not that this is you, but do you think they'd have the saying May-November romance if sometimes ages aren't close? Souls really have no age and you will be lucky to find a soulmate at/of ANY age. Don't care what others think: that and a dollar WON'T buy a cup of coffee!!!!

Don't ask us. Ask what he thinks.

Don't be too embarrassed--he's good looking, right?
haha, don't matter.
But honestly, a lot of guys in that age range would really love to be involved with a slightly older girl.
It's not wrong, it's far from wrong.

My mom was 24 when she met my dad at 18. So...yea, no it isn't wrong. You seem to have the right feelings, so follow your heart. See where this goes, maybe its love.

You are mature enough to love him,but the question is he?because from what you said I can make out that it is you who likes him so much and it seems to me that he is just into you probably because of physical attraction or lust...I can see that he shows only "affection" but not "true love"!!Obviously he is still a teenager, and is not experienced or clear to show/experience true love..So my best advice is THINK BEFORE YOU ACT!!ITS YOUR LIFE..ITS SHORT,NOT MUCH TIME LEFT AND THE CLOCK IS STILL TICKING..ACT FAST BEFORE YOU RUN OUT OF BATTERY AND TIME ...take care..:)
P.S:I just wanted to tell you though..a boy's maturity/mental growth is always 5 TIMES LESSER than a girls mental maturity!!so in your case "multiply it by 5-ve!!"

4 years isn't a big deal. He'll be out of college soon, right?

4 years isn't a big age difference. My boyfriend is much older than me. I think the real problem here is that usually it seems more socially acceptible for a man to date a younger woman than the other way around. This comes from the days when men were supposed to protect and provide for their wives, but nowadays the situation is different. Women are self-sufficient and independent. We're all equal and a 4 year difference is ok. The thing about you being a teacher might be a little awkward at first, but remember you aren't teaching college students his age (are you??) If you're 23 I assume you've just earned your bachelor's degree and with that I assume you're teaching younger students than him. Just try to sort out whether you actually care for this guy and, if you do, remember that it's your own life and you're not hurting anyone. :)

It's not wrong, but be sure he stays in college to get his degree. A bright future with a degree is important. Give a little and gain a lot, it will keep him coming back for more.

is he ok with the age difference? I don't think there's anything wrong with it. you feel how you feel and love who you love. 4 years isn't really that much, especially the older you get.
