Its a shallow world and its all down to looks. If your freinds are more attractive than you they will get the attention rather than you. Personality is great but it wont get you dates. Below is an extract from another site which really summs up the attitude of a lot of people

Yes, there are ugly guys out there that are way to ugly to date. Why would a girl get feeling for this homely looking guy with maybe thinning hair & usually there short to boot,? all of these thing are a factor that will make you kick him to the curb or walk right over him (if his face get in the way, who cares you cant hurt his looks anyLOL) as you leave him in the dust, on your way out of there. I wouldnt be surprised that "geeze" and his dude friends hasnt been guilty of this, (I know me and my friends have been) it a Friday or Saturday night and hes walking down the street with his young friends, and they see this couple coming toward them and they start to laugh and snicker and make fun of them, of course this is behind the couple back (usually they do a poor job hiding it.) And if you make love to the pathetic looking fool, its a must that you make sure that the light are off (Im told they usually now the procedure, I personally wouldnt want to bet on it, more than likely it there first time) now you can pretend youre with some good looking guy that you got the hots for, so you can get turn on and half a$$ enjoy yourself. Now, when it come to the girls, the story changes, you see...some guys (a lot) are so sex crazed, that short, fat, and ugly doesnt bother then as long as they got the right equipment theyll cover her head with a brown paper bag and have a BALL!!!
