I like to see the creatures in an open area, as close as possible to the real thing. I went to Jax'ville zoo and it was the worst $hit hole for the primates, anteater, giraffe. God that zoo sucks! I felt sorry for them and felt guilty for going there. How this zoo stays open, I don't know.

Love the zoo! The closest one is Lion Country Safari and you can just drive through and watch the animals in the open.
