Add to that, it's the CRIMINAL JUSTICE system, not the VICTIM JUSTICE system.<br />
Criminals seem to have more rights, than the law abiding.
I see the need for laws more like the rules of a game. Nothing to do with morality.

If bad people made good laws, but good people disagreed, would that make the bad good and the good bad?
That is very true.
But there are people in the middle between the extremes and if they are told the Law they will tend to follow it. Yes noble people with a good conscience don't need laws and corrupt people find ways around them but there are more half and half people in this world then both of those types.
