Guy asks you out over text messages...says he'll call to confirm time and place but sends another text message @ 9pm...
Would you respond to the text message? The guy is my age. And people were hounding me... I'm assuming him too... to go out. I said yes so they'd shut up... but I'm really annoyed this was done all through text messages. Is this normal?
Update: am going through with it but I just want to know what this registers as on the lame scale :P

I actually met the love of my life through texting. Kinda. My best friend was dating his cousin, and she noticed he was single and gave him my cell number and his to me. 6 years (on and off due to work and drama) were still going lol

eh. you know what... Go for it.. hell explain this [what you just said] to him... maybe he'll get a kick out of it cause ur actually right and he is being pressured... be real and honest and just go to hang out and you both might actually have a good time. :] like when people were kids..
