Don't have any problem asking for directions, except occasionally language. I spent 6 hours in the snow inadequately dressed in Baku Azerbaijan asking directions once - forgot the name of my hotel. Got there at 4:30am.

If "guys" means "men" and not "people", I am one of those who often ask for directions when they are in an unknown place.
