Hmm. I can't answer that yet. How old are you? How old is your boyfriend? Which family is more likely to be available to help care for this baby, and be willing to do so as often as you need them to? Sometimes being near the larger of the two families is the way to go, but not if the smaller family is more available for you and your baby. You told us so little that we're helpless and somewhat clueless about providing the correct guidance. Does either family have a drug or alcohol problem? There are too many questions to post here. Just think about what's best for your baby and go with that decision. Either way one of the families will be jealous for not choosing them. Would it make sense to live equidistant between them?

sry taking a while to get back to you- My bf and I are both 23, he's established with a college degree and successful job and I'm working p/t and graduating in Dec. Both of our families would be very helpful but if we chose LI we would initially be staying with my parents, metally ill brother, and alcoholic uncle who is renting a part of the house.. we're now considering staying in the Baltimore/DC area where we are now and saying screw everyone else, and do what's ultimately best for us and the baby
