EP gives users points for their contributions to the site. If your answer is picked as best answer here foe example you receive 20 points. If you win "caption of the day" or "question of the day" based on receiving the most votes from the community you get additional points. I believe it is 200 but don't quote me on that as I have not played in a long while. You also get music match points on here when you play the music match game. Additionally each time you submit a story or you comment on another member's story EP posts points to your profile. Those are the best ways that you receive points on EP.

answer questions,
ask questions,
and whatever that is considered participating in ep ! ;)
