To be honest with you I have mixed feelings about it. I feel like it's a slap in the face because it does make you feel terrible about your lonesomeness. I've never had the kind of romantic gesture I've dreamed of just yet. I'm sure one day it will happen when the time is right. Today, I'm playing it cool, because I realized that even if i did have boyfriends or a husband, wouldn't it be nice if he shows us all of 365 days his love for us instead just one day out of 365 days of the year? I would rather have someone in my life that sends me flowers or a card because it's Wednesday. You know what I mean?
I'd rather have someone who's not all about showing me just one time out of the year how much he loves me. I personally believe that Valentines Day is not all about just trying to buy all this stuff to prove to somebody that you love them. But rather it's about expressing your love to one another without all the gifts. At the end of the day, are you in love with the gifts or your mate? I think so often people think when someone buys you something, it means the other person loves you. Which is not always true.
That's my personal opinion. But I'm just keeping my head up and reminding myself that I have to love myself first before anybody because nobody will ever love any of us they way that we can love ourselves first. They are there to enhance your life. Not define it. But this is how I feel today. I hope you have a fabulous Valentines Day. Happy Valentines Day again!! Stay safe and positive. :-) Live, Love, Laugh.
At last, someone's not using that annoying abbreviation.
