My opinion on the trial of Casey Anthony so far? Her defense attorney, faced with the impossible task of defending a mother who murdered her own toddler daughter, is pulling out all the stops. Wild tale followed by lie followed by wild tale followed by lie, accusing Casey's own father of not only molesting his own daughter but of also helping to cover up the "accidental" death of his granddaughter reeks of pure DESPERATION. Like it or not, the defense attorney is simply doing her job. Fact. However I seriously doubt that the jury, after hearing all the evidence, will find Casey innocent. I don't think Casey should get the death penalty myself, I think it would be poetic justice for her to be stuck in a maximum security prison for the rest of her life, no sex with men ever again, no partying, no driving wherever she wants when she wants.................GOOD

It's a heinous crime when a parent kills a young child, or when a child kills a parent. But I agree that the death penalty is like an automatic extension, it can be years before it takes place. Rotting your *** in prison, with the prisoners who might think you're pretty, for your entire life isn't enough punishment, but no doubt the best our society can do.

If she's found guilty, she should be confined in a single cell, 23 hours a day, with nothing to look at but two pictures, one of her child while living and the other, the picture of her dead child, when the child was found. Perfect and complete justice.

I am convinced she is guilty as sin. Her lawyer simply is trying to establish "Reasonable Doubt." WHEN she is convicted, I hope the sentence her to death because no lesser crime is appropriate for the murder of your own child.

I agree that our legal system is broken. It should be no more than one year from initial sentence, through completion of appeals, to execution and execution should be public. The purpose of the death penalty is for a society to take retribution for a heinous crime. Swift and certain execution also would serve to make people think before committing such heinous acts. Punishment and ultimate justice is for God to determine.

My opinion is she doesn't have enough money to get out of this.
