Yeah I met someone like that and I don't talk to them anymore.

Someone who tries really hard to come off as selfless when they are not is just something else!

No. But interesting question.

I think true humility has no pride.

I've known of people that were proud (but more like thankful) to have been raised in a humbled household and atmosphere, because it taught them many values.

Decades ago I simply thought that I am humble. Now I realize that I have not completely annihilate pride or self. Yes, my self is independent and unique. However, I always see that all other people, including my descendants, are more honorable than me.

lmao, yes I've met people like that. Funniest part about it is they don't even see themselevs clearly enough to realise the inherent contradiction. so the joke is lost on them.

what you are describing is self-righteousness & unlike true humility its a form of pride. although i am a christian & hate to have to put people of faith on blast, i find hypocritical religious types, activists & volunteers seem to have this issue. that is simply my objective considering what i've observed & experienced. i do think that this issue should not to be confused with confidence or high self-esteem which is someone who is aware that they are sincerely humble, compassionate & empathetic. its something they may be proud of but its not something they would brag about.
