Hmmm a simple answer cannot cover this one

    1) As per a recent answer, if you are bored there is always something constructive you can do - clean your house, wash the car, cut the grass etc. But as I said at this time of year with cold weather oin most of us - a better use of your time would be to visit an elderly reltive or neighbour. They can't get out much so would at least appreciate the company. You can do some small jobs or them, make sure they have enough food in, etc etc.

    2) Though boredon itself has never killed anyone - it could lead to death.

    A) sitting around doing nothing is not good for your health - keep busy keep your mind active (so no tweets, emails, computer games), get some exercise and get your heart and otehr organs healthy.

    B) Being bored has lead to people trying something stupid - climbing a tree, trying drugs etc - and other activities that have killed them

So - answer = NO but beware doing stupid things to aleviate the boredom they could kill you

merry Xmas and happy new year

Yes, but luckily I was revived right away so the damage was minimal.

No, they just wished they did. :p

(Seriously, I do sometimes wonder whether some people kinda lose the will to live and die younger as a result. But that's probably just fanciful.)

As a TV programme from my youth used to say (somewhat ironically): why don't you go out and do something less boring instead?
