Yes I have seen this when I worked in ICU.
Pretty amazing after ten minutes.
However, they had many more issues afterwards.

My friends dad did once,he was dead for 4 mins and they revived him.He lost a lot of blood during a "routine" surgery cause of a doctor mistake. He said he saw the typical things, white light and loved ones.Said it was a very fond experience and he did not fear dying anymore

My Mother had Cardiac Arrest right in front of me 10 years ago. She thought it was something she ate but I had a hunch that it was something more so I brought her to the hospital against her will :) On the way there it just got worse. Once we were there, she was on an ER hooked up to heart monitors, etc. While on the bed, said to me "I think I'm going to pass out"......then she fell backwards on the bed and flatlined. All I can still hear is that long beeping sound. It will never go away. They performed CPR on her which didn't work, and then had to shock her twice from which she came back a few minutes later. Another two minutes and she would have brain damage. If it wasn't for me bringing her there, she would have died in her sleep since she was home alone. She wouldn't have seen 7 of her grandchildren be born. For anyone out there thinking your chest pain is minor, have it checked. Money is nothing compared to the memories and life she has now lived just by me taking her to the ER.

I read about a boy (7 years old) who slipped under the ice in a river. He went unconcious from hypothermia and slid underwater. he was dead when they got him out but when he got to hospital he revived quickly. His hypothermia saved him from drowning. He was "dead" for many minutes with no brain injury. I wish I could remember more detail like the town and the river.
